Using gpx.studio I was able to upload multiple GPX files (using File > Open), then right-click on one of the track tabs and choose ‘Select All‘. Then on the tools on the left choose ‘Merge items together’. I opted for ‘Merge the contents and keep the traces disconnected’ then choose the ‘Merge selection’ button.
This then allowed me to view the total distance covered by all the GPX tracks
