I had a few stumbles when setting up Sophie, so for future reference:
- v3.05 checking for DllGetClassObject in -lsavi… no
Have you downloaded the correct version of Sophos? There are a few versions available (AMD64 etc) - v3.0 checking for SAVIsweepFile in -lsavi… no
Have you downloaded the latest version of Sophie - Sophie will not make on AMD64
I was having difficulty on Centos 5.2 64bit with Sophos savi (AMD64) and Sophie 3.05 – they did not seem to want to play ball together so rather than get to the bottom of it (yes I know I am lazy 😉 I opted to use a Centos 32-bit install with the 32-bit Sophos and Sophie 3.05. The ‘./configure –enable-net’ and ‘make’ went fine and I was able to test sophie with: ./sophie -C /etc/sophie.cfg -f /path/to/eicar.com  - Sophie does not find many viruses
Have you downloaded the latest definitions (ides.zip)? Have you sent Sophie a SIGHUP? Have you set GrpSuper to 1 in sophie.savi ?
